As a Junior Storekeeper, you will be responsible to assist the storekeeper in the issue / receipt of stocks and deliveries of materials to various departments, including cargo village for overseas dispatch.
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Assist in undertaking the checking and receiving of goods into stock physically placing items onto the shelf/stock location.
• Undertakes the physical withdrawal of stock, retrieving stock from its location, packaging and dispatch to departments and outstations in accordance with their delivery requirements.
• Assist in physical stock inventories, counting the actual stocks to identify actual stock held.
• Assist storekeepers for inputting into the inventory management system issue and receipt vouchers for stock transactions to ensure the database is accurately maintained.
• Providing clerical assistance for making paper works for despatches
• Item delivery and collection from user departments
• Item delivery to cargo village for overseas dispatches and collections of incoming rush tag shipments from Dubai Airport
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role you must meet the following:
• 10 years schooling or equivalent
• Experience in logistics or storekeeping.
• Attained courses in basic storekeeping.
• One year experience in automated inventory systems would be an added advantage.
