ROLE SUMMARY
The Area Manager is the direct manager of store managers of their area (typically comprising 7 to 10 stores). The role holder has decision-making responsibilities concerning everyday business issues. Area managers are also responsible for assessing financial and administrative processes in the stores. The role holder should understand trends and be efficient with visual merchandising.
ROLE PROFILE
- Guarantee with the store manager, the respect of advertising plans and rules of communication, and excellent experience offered to customers in the stores.
- Analyse the budget and profitability through cost-effective methods.
- Ensure merchandise assortment, availability and planograms are following the implementation plan.
- Ensure implementation of hygiene audit, import order, leaflet promotion, margins of the stores, inventory report, waste analysis etc.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and take appropriate measures if necessary.
- The responsibility of the Profit and loss of its stores, with a specific focus on the sales, margin (+ waste/shrinkage), staff cost and expenses.
- Sets appropriate control mechanism to ensure budget compliance and take corrective measures when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Management.
- 5+ Years in FMCG stores’ operations.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Stong Communications skills.
- Stong Analytical skills.
