ROLE SUMMARY
The Baker is responsible for preparing and making a variety of bread and other baked goods in a minimum of one area in the Bakery section. The role holder is also responsible for providing excellent customer service and executing tasks as per the section’s operating standards and hygiene control procedures.
ROLE PROFILE
- Transform ingredients into finished and semi-finished products such as bread and other baked products, as per the production sheet and Bakery Section’s standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and place products in display counter as per the defined guidelines.
- Assist customers in their product inquiries in a professional and timely manner, and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Promote additional sales and maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
- Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhering to safe work practices.
- Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Maintain hygiene standards and ensure that work areas, including the freezers and chillers are kept clean and food waste is disposed of correctly.
- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work.
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic English language reading, writing, and interpretation skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the same role.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking skills.
- Adapt in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent listening abilities.
